The artists
Jock Young
Jock's collaboration is with scientist George
Cresswell.
I am a landscape painter in oils and gouache and linocut printer.
I moved to Hobart, Tasmania in 1984 and occupied a studio at the
Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart from 1987-95. From 1996 to present
I have worked in my studio at home.
Highlights for me have been a painting trip to France and Italy
in 1991; three months painting in the University of Tasmania's studio
at the Cite des Arts in Paris, France in 1997 and in 2000 an artist's
residency at 'Bundanon' on the Shoalhaven River, NSW. I was also
awarded runner up in the Tattersall's National landscape prize 2000.
